At Modena you can still see the house where Enzo Ferrari was born in Via Paolo Ferrari, soon to be refurbished and transformed into a museum exploring the history of Ferrari and its "guardian angel". This will be the first significant State recognition of the figure and work of Enzo Ferrari which has brought honour to Modena and Italy in the international world of cars and sport.

With the participation of Modena City Council, Modena Province, the Chamber of Commerce and Ferrari Spa, the "Fondazione Casa Natale di Enzo Ferrari" has recently been set up.

Its objectives are to promote and protect the image, history, and work of Enzo Ferrari and in particular to create and run the museum known as the "Casa di Enzo Ferrari Museum" to be set up in the building where Enzo Ferrari was born at Via Paolo Ferrari 85.

Modena City Council has already acquired adjacent buildings to accommodate, together with the actual house, the spaces required by the future museum.

The foundation also sets out to promote research into and knowledge of the restoration and conservation of motor vehicles of particular historic value, through a programme of initiatives, cultural exchanges, events and other activities contributing to the promotion of dialogue with other public and private associations, bodies and organisations in Italy, Europe and at international level.

Access: The Fondazione Casa Natale Enzo Ferrari was founded on January 29 2003.
Probably the Museum will open in 2005.
