The Ferrari Gallery
was opened in February 1990. Since 1995 the museum has been directly run by Ferrari.
The way in which the display area is interpreted reflects the company's spirit: to move ahead, improve and take on new challenges, aware that the best car will always be the car that has yet to be made, just as Enzo Ferrari always said.
The Ferrari Gallery occupies a number of rooms, displaying historic cars, Formula One single seaters and modern GTs, technological innovations, trophies, technical drawings, films and photographs and also the Ferrari shop with original Ferrari merchandise. The visit follows a set itinerary starting with a section dedicated to Enzo Ferrari and the legend grown up over more than 50 years of activity, reaching its peak with the racing and commercial successes of Chairman Luca di Montezemolo, Of particular interest is Enzo Ferrari's office, where a number of exhibits of particular importance for the company's history are displayed.
The second part is dedicated to Formula One single seaters from yesterday and today and the cups and trophies won on circuits throughout the world. Through the vehicles on display, constantly changing throughout the year, the visitor can learn about the history of the company right up to the latest model produced.
The first and the last cars are always visible. All the cars are displayed against a backdrop resembling a Grand Prix scene with reconstruction of the pits, pit lane and pit wall..
In the third section you can find modern road-cars, sophisticated mechanical and electronic racing components and the wind tunnel with relative scale models. The itinerary ends in an amphitheatre set up for themed exhibitions. The visit to the Ferrari Gallery is important not just to learn about the history of the company, but also to go back through the fundamental milestones in the development of the automotive industry to which Ferrari has contributed in terms of technological innovation and security.
